The impact you'll make

As a Business Operations Analyst 4, you will play a key role in shaping analytics strategy and driving transformation across Global Manufacturing. This is a high-impact opportunity for a strategic, data-driven leader who can solve complex problems, build scalable capabilities, and influence decisions that improve operational performance and business results.

What You'll Do

You will lead global-scale analytics initiatives that improve operational excellence across manufacturing functions. In this role, you will combine advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and business insight to define priorities, guide cross-functional execution, and deliver measurable outcomes.

  • Lead high-impact business and data analysis to identify root causes, uncover opportunities, and turn complex data into actionable insights and scalable solutions.
  • Shape the analytics roadmap by aligning priorities with business strategy and identifying high-value opportunities for analytics, automation, and AI.
  • Build scalable analytics solutions such as forecasting, optimization, and anomaly detection models that improve manufacturing KPIs and decision quality.
  • Partner across functions to design solutions by translating business needs into technical requirements and guiding delivery across teams.
  • Strengthen long-term capability in data, tools, and talent to support the analytics roadmap and sustain business impact.
  • Set data governance standards to ensure data quality, integrity, reproducibility, and compliance.
  • Influence decisions through clear communication by turning analysis and model outputs into recommendations for technical teams, business partners, and senior leaders.
  • Coach and develop analytical talent by mentoring junior analysts and fostering a data-driven culture of continuous improvement.

Who We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8–10 years of experience delivering analytics solutions in Global Operations, manufacturing, or similarly complex business environments.
  • A strong track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives and solving ambiguous business problems with measurable results.
  • Deep expertise in dashboarding, data visualization, and scalable analytics solution design using tools such as Power BI or SAP Business Objects.
  • Strong experience with data warehouse and ETL architecture, development, and best practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, SAP ABAP, HANA technologies, and ERP systems such as SAP ECC in manufacturing and materials environments.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical methods and their application to operational and business decision-making.
  • Recognized expertise in manufacturing or operations, with the ability to turn technical depth into enterprise-scale business solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across multiple business functions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex ideas to senior leaders.
  • 4+ years of experience developing advanced reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau, or SAP Business Objects.
  • 4+ years of experience in data warehouse and ETL architecture and development.
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL, SAP ABAP, HANA technologies, or similar data platforms.
  • 5+ years of experience with SAP ECC or other ERP systems supporting manufacturing and materials management.
  • Experience applying advanced statistical methods such as regression, hypothesis testing, and distribution analysis to complex business problems.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools for analysis, communication, and executive presentations.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. On-site Flex you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. Virtual Flex you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
