Business Operations Manager

At Numera, we're looking for an experienced Operations Leader who thrives on solving business problems, improving processes, and driving operational excellence. This isn't a traditional Operations Manager role. You'll partner directly with senior leadership, influence business decisions, and help run the India operations of a rapidly growing US accounting and advisory firm

About the Role

As Manager/Senior Manager – Business Operations, you'll serve as the operational backbone of our India business. You'll work closely with the Operations Director to streamline workflows, improve operational efficiency, support business growth, and ensure our India and US teams operate seamlessly. If you're someone who enjoys solving complex business problems, building scalable processes, and taking ownership rather than simply following up on tasks, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Own

Operational Leadership

• Drive day-to-day business operations across multiple functions.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions.
• Improve workflows and standardize processes.

Business Operations

• Monitor business performance through dashboards and KPIs.
• Support revenue tracking, invoicing, client onboarding, and operational governance.
• Partner with leadership to improve business efficiency.

Leadership

• Support workforce planning and resource allocation.
• Coach teams and collaborate across India and US stakeholders.
• Handle operational escalations with a solution-first mindset.

Strategic Initiatives

• Lead automation and process improvement initiatives.
• Support technology implementations and operational transformation.
• Drive cross-functional projects from planning to execution.

Whom We're Looking For

You'll be successful if you:

• Have 7–12 years of experience in Business Operations or Operations Management.
• Have independently owned business operations rather than only coordinating projects.
• Are known for solving problems instead of escalating them.
• Have led cross-functional teams and worked directly with senior leadership.
• Enjoy improving processes, implementing new ideas, and driving operational excellence.
• Can make sound business decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate confidently with both India and US stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in Accounting, Tax, Finance, Consulting, Shared Services, or Professional Services.
• Exposure to KPI reporting, MIS, operational dashboards, or business analytics.
• Experience with workflow automation or process improvement initiatives.
