Position Purpose:
The Business Operations Manager Southeast Asia is responsible for driving operational excellence across the region by managing cross-functional, high-impact projects that are prioritized by JD SEA. The role plays a critical part in standardizing, improving, and embedding business processes, while also partnering closely with franchise partners to ensure alignment with JD processes, efficiencies, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Regional Project Management
- Lead and manage cross-functional, large-scale business projects identified as priorities by JD SEA.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders across departments (e.g. Retail, Finance, IT, Supply Chain, HR, and Franchise teams) to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Track project progress, risks, and dependencies, providing regular updates to the Business Operations Director.
2. Process Design & Documentation
- Create, update, and maintain end-to-end process flows for key business operations across the region.
- Develop and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)/SOP to support system, process, or operational changes.
- Ensure all documentation is clear, standardized, and aligned with JD global and regional standards.
3. Franchise Partner Management & Enablement
- Act as a key operations contact for franchise partners in South East Asia.
- Guide, coach, and support franchise partners to operate in line with JD processes, policies, and efficiency standards.
- Identify operational gaps or challenges faced by franchise partners and provide practical, scalable solutions.
- Support the rollout of new processes, tools, or initiatives to franchise partners, ensuring understanding and adoption.
4. Continuous Process Improvement
- Regularly review existing processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, or opportunities for improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, consistency, and scalability across the region.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement improved processes and ways of working.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
- Build strong working relationships with regional and global stakeholders.
- Act as a bridge between local JD teams and others (ie APAC / UK Team) to ensure alignment and effective execution.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with both internal teams and external franchise partners.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in business operations, project management, or process improvement roles, ideally in a regional or multi-market environment.
- Experience working with multi-brand retail is highly desirable.
- Retail, e-commerce, or consumer-facing industry experience is a plus.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in local languages of Southeast Asia (e.g., Mandarin, Bahasa, Thai) is a plus.
