Management of Remittance Management Information System (MIS) and liaise with vendors to make any changes in the Remittance MIS.
Undertake User Acceptance Test on Currency Exchange; Remittance MIS during changes or upgrading of Currency Exchange; Remittance System respectively.
Troubleshoot any Remittance MIS or Currency Exchange issues/problems identified and undertake prompt rectification measures to avoid any disruption to over the counter business operations of the company.
Check and verify the validity of the supporting documents for overseas outward remittance in order to remain compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
Checking and approving remittance transactions.
Ensure Currency Exchange; Remittance SOPs and BNM compliance practices are being adhered at all times during the course of operations.
Review and manage the operational procedures to ensure they are compliant with internal business policies and regulatory requirements.
Identify any suspicious transactions and report to the Compliance Department for their action.
Building and maintaining a positive relationship with its stakeholders (e.g., Customers, Vendors, Government Agencies and Payout Partners) to support the achievement of the company's strategic objectives.
Accountable for cash reconciliation, remittance processing and daily operations.
Handling customer complaints if any in a timely manner or refer/escalate them to the appropriate functions for resolution.
Investigate and clear pending items or discrepancies and oversee the management of Remittance pre-funding accounts.
Up to date with the latest financial developments, not only with the country's economy, but also with other payout countries.
Handle the operation of the payment's transaction, including but not limited to the provision of services and operational support.
Visit customers to introduce all kinds of related products, operational processes, and follow up customers needs (if required).
Assist in promotions and marketing of Currency Exchange; Remittance services.
Assist in market expansion to new international markets (Remittance business).
Conduct the compliance review of operation (Remittance; Currency Exchange).
Development of sales; profit targets and objectives to support the business and its operations / expansion.
Qualification:
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the money services business (MSB) industry, preferably within money exchange, remittance, or currency wholesale operations.
Hands-on experience managing or operating money exchange systems, transaction monitoring platforms, and daily FX operations.
Strong understanding of BNM regulations, compliance requirements, SOPs, record-keeping, and reporting obligations for MSB license holders.
Experience working with operational workflows such as float management, branch operations, reconciliation, settlement, and AML screening processes.
Ability to coordinate with compliance, finance, and tech teams to ensure system stability, regulatory alignment, and seamless customer experience.
Proven track record in problem-solving, handling operational incidents, and ensuring business continuity.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
