About the role

This position is to support business growth through data-driven insights and strategic recommendations. This role is responsible for analyzing sales performance, market trends, customer behaviors, and business operations to identify opportunities, risks, and improvement areas to better support business decisions.

Key Activities - Job Description

Business & Sales Analysis

  • Analyze sales performance, distribution trends, product performance, and business KPIs across channels and brands.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to identify business opportunities and risks.
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc business reviews with actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and sales planning processes through data analysis and performance tracking.
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and growth opportunities to improve sales productivity and profitability.
  • Conduct consumer survey and derive insights to provide recommendation and support business decision.

Reporting & Insights

  • Prepare regular dashboards, reports, and presentations for management review.
  • Provide meaningful insights from data findings and recommend improvement actions to enhance business performance.
  • Track promotional effectiveness, campaign ROI, and trade activities performance.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of data used for reporting and analysis.
  • Consolidate sales forecast from sales & brand representative and submission for review.
  • Monthly competitor activities report compilation & review.

Data Management & Tools

  • Maintain and improve reporting tools, templates, and databases.
  • Utilize Excel, BI tools, or data visualization platforms for analysis and reporting.
  • Drive automation and efficiency improvements in reporting processes where possible.

Qualification

  • Recognised degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Finance, Economics or in other related fields.
  • Minimum five (5) years of working experience in business analysis, sales analysis, commercial analytics.
  • Excellent in Computer Skills (Excel, Power-Point). Familiar in reporting/ BI tools (eg.Power BI Tool) is added advantage.
  • Commercial knowledge and understanding in FMCG/ Healthcare industry.
  • Ability to interpret data and translate findings into practical business recommendations.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details.
  • Good English communication skills at all levels; proficiency in an additional language is an added advantage.
  • Flexibility and adaptability be open to changing priorities and tasks that may be time sensitive
  • Proactively identify and escalate issues to senior members of the team
