Unigrà is an Italian agro-food group founded in 1972. Through its various brands, the company offers high-end raw materials, semi-processed and finished products across all channels, the main categories being Chocolate and Chocolate Compounds, UHT Vegetable Creams and Margarine.
Buyer (Direct Material) is responsible to perform yearly cost savings and being resourceful proactive in resolving any operational issues related to production and vendors. This roles need to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and conveying supply
chain objectives effectively.
Job Responsibilities:
- Sourcing for new/alternative raw material/ packaging suppliers.
- Negotiation on pricing of raw material and packaging material.
- Request commodity raw material pricing daily from suppliers.
- Prepare daily raw material and packaging pricing to submit to Finance
- Analyse data and identify trends of commodity raw material
- Daily explosion of bill of material after receiving finish goods contract for daily buying purpose.
- Load in data into excel coverage file to identify raw material and packaging shortages.
- Knowledge of SST and maintain monthly reports of SST information.
- Support on PO issuance for direct material from contracts
- Investigate root cause analysis and resolving issue on invoice non-conformity.
- Taking care of the documentation processes and documents needed to maintain direct material unrestricted in the SAP system.
- Ensure no shortage of raw material and packaging to support production operations.
- Follow up on raw material timely deliveries.
- Any other related function as requested by Manager and Management
Job Requirements:
- Min Diploma Holder/ Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management / Business Studies/ Science background or related fields
- Minimum 3 years of experience in buying /supply chain management.
- Excellent personal of Negotiation skills, Interpersonal communication skill or related skills.
- Good knowledge of oral and written English and Bahasa Malaysia. Additional language will be an advantage.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and SAP relevant modules.
This position is reporting to the Supply Chain Manager
This position will be based in Tanjung Langsat, Pasir Gudang
