Our client is a Fortune 500 global manufacturing company with extensive international operations, working closely with local and overseas suppliers to support large-scale production and supply chain activities.
Job Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers to meet production and cost requirements
- Request quotations (RFQ), compare pricing, and negotiate commercial terms
- Issue and manage Purchase Orders (PO) in accordance with production schedules
- Follow up with suppliers on order confirmation, delivery timelines, and material availability
- Coordinate with internal teams on material planning and purchasing needs
- Resolve supplier-related issues such as delays, shortages, or quality concerns
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier documentation
- Support cost-saving and alternative sourcing initiatives
Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in buyer, sourcing, or procurement role (manufacturing preferred)
- Strong communication and negotiation skills (phone & email)
- Able to liaise with local and overseas suppliers
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; ERP system experience is an advantage
- Detail-oriented, well-organised, and able to manage multiple orders
