Job Description

The purpose of the Buying Manager,Own Brand is to oversee the development, sourcing, and management of products under Lotus's own brand. The role is to ensure that the brand's product offerings align with market trends, customer needs, and the company's strategic goals.

You are responsible for selecting and sourcing quality products at competitive prices, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing inventory levels. Additionally, you work to ensure the brand's products are effectively positioned in the market, driving sales and profitability while maintaining the brand's identity and standards. Ultimately, you play a key role in enhancing the retailer's brand image and customer loyalty.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Research, evaluate and identify potential products to be launched in Own Brand to drive category growth.
  • Responsible for delivering category sales, profit & stock targets
  • Select the best vendors based on price, quality, distribution cost and other factors
  • Work closely with potential vendors to determine the best deals, product quality to develop vs benchmark identified
  • Coordinate packaging design between Marketing, Technical team and suppliers
  • Track product launches end to end working closely with relevant cross functions supplier
  • Work closely with SRD on New Launch and communication with stores to ensure planogram compliance
  • Communicate with stores to identify key opportunities & improvements in displaying products, and work with stores to resolve operational issues.
  • Work closely/collaborate with CPAxtra Thai Business units on potential joint buys and cross-country projects
  • Recognize and analyze the future trends and consumer buying patterns.
  • Assist with any adhoc requests, projects, etc.

What You'll Bring to The Role

  • Minimum Diploma in any field.
  • Approximately 4 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Demonstrate a strong analytical and decision-making ability.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Opportunistic with an ability to maximize opportunities through skillful purchasing management.
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a group.
  • Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, a good team player, disciplined, committed and able to work under pressure.
  • Strong organizing, numerical, negotiation and communication skills. Results and customer-focused with strong commercial awareness.
  • Business-minded with a passion for retail.
  • Experience in buying/purchasing or new product development will be added advantage
