CAD Drafter/ Estimator

Working Hour: 9AM - 6PM (ICT)/ AEST (Full-time role with required overlap with the Australian team)

Role Overview

We are seeking a technically strong CAD Drafter & Estimator to support an Australian shade structure company across commercial and domestic projects (car parks, playgrounds, schools, pools, etc.).

This is a hands-on role combining CAD drafting, estimating, and project support, working closely with the team using established design and pricing systems.

Key Responsibilities

CAD Drafting & Design

• Produce and update drawings using AutoCAD and SketchUp.
• Adjust designs based on engineering input, site details, and client feedback.
• Ensure all designs align with company standards and best practices.

Estimating & Tender Support

• Review tender documents and prepare concept designs for proposals.
• Use internal pricing tools to calculate quantities, materials, and costs.
• Prepare clear and accurate quotation packages.

Fabric Patterning

• Create fabric patterns using NDN (or similar) patterning software.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure designs are accurate and
• buildable.

Project Coordination

• Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to clarify requirements.
• Maintain organised documentation for drawings, quotes, and revisions.

Key Requirements

• Experience with AutoCAD and SketchUp.
• Exposure to tensile membrane or shade structures (highly preferred).
• Experience with NDN fabric patterning software (or similar) is a strong
• advantage.
• Familiarity with Buildertrend or similar project management tools (preferred).
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Good English communication skills.
