Responsibilities (training will be provided):
Working in the Capital Markets team, you will focus on identifying new leads and bringing in potential clients for US IPOs and cross-border listings. This is a commercially driven role centred on research, outreach and relationship building. We are looking for candidates who are proactive, confident and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
- Generation of new client leads and potential partners for deal origination.
- Cultivation of in-depth knowledge of clients business, keeping abreast of industry activities, market trends and leading practices, and translation of market reports.
- Preparation of project proposals, project decks, documents required in order to get engaged, and necessary translation.
- Follow-up on project progress and participation in the entire transaction process, from commencement to completion of project.
- Participation in client meetings and support team negotiations during the engagement.
- Understanding the dynamics and ever-changing capital markets and regulatory environment in cross-border and the U.S.
- Deep participation in the transaction process and maintaining a good network of relationships with different partners and stakeholders.
- Build and manage (or assist in building and managing) a high-quality pipeline of IPO, SPAC and RTO prospects across Malaysia, Southeast Asia and China.
- Drive structured outreach using industry networks, events, market mapping and targeted founder engagement.
- Lead first-stage discussions with CEOs and founders and position ARC's global capital markets capabilities with clarity and authority.
- Assess listing readiness at a commercial level and work with internal teams to craft high-level proposals.
- Maintain CRM tracking and deliver weekly origination reports that highlight pipeline health, conversion and next steps.
- Represent ARC at conferences, investor events and ecosystem platforms to strengthen brand presence and referral channels.
- Shape the origination narrative by understanding sector trends and how global capital flows affect founder decision-making.
Skills & Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, family office, private capital, technology advisory or institutional sales.
- Solid corporate finance knowledge and skills in valuation/pricing techniques, DCF, comparable companies/transaction multiples.
- Strong commercial intuition and the ability to engage senior founders with clarity and confidence.
- High-level understanding of IPO and SPAC pathways, capital formation dynamics and valuation themes.
- Exceptional presentation, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Full proficiency in English, Chinese, or Bahasa Malaysia and the knowledge of other languages will be a plus.
- Good analytical, problem solving and presentation skills.
- Professional maturity, strong presence and the ability to represent the firm at senior levels.
- The ability to articulate yourself with confidence.
- A natural enthusiasm for sales (consistent hunter mindset with the discipline to maintain a structured pipeline).
- An unparalleled work ethic and the desire to achieve an extremely high level of success relative to your peers.
Duration: this program is set for 6 months full-time on-site (not part-time).
Location: this position will be based in our office in Kuala Lumpur.
