Job Summary
This role leads end-to-end Cash Management Operations across multiple hubs, ensuring smooth, accurate and timely delivery of cash services within agreed SLAs and risk parameters. You will oversee daily processing and controls, manage operational and regulatory risks, and ensure full compliance with AML, sanctions and internal policies. A key part of the role is building and motivating a high-performing team through clear objectives, coaching and development, while driving continuous improvement, digitisation and service excellence. You will work closely with stakeholders across countries and functions, and act as a role model for the Group's values, ethics and Code of Conduct.
- Lead and manage end-to-end Cash Management Operations (Pre-Processing, Payments & Clearing, Static Data setup, maintenance, pricing & billing, CoE, LM) to deliver high-quality services within SLAs and agreed risk parameters.
- Oversee daily operations to meet service standards, achieve near zero-defect processing, and ensure timely completion of transactions within agreed TATs.
- Ensure strong control environment by implementing, maintaining and reviewing operational, control and security policies, including AML/sanctions requirements and escalation procedures.
- Verify and authorise transactions within delegated authority, including checking customer payment instructions against payment systems and internal guidelines.
- Manage and develop the team through clear objectives (SMART), regular performance reviews, coaching, guidance, motivation and support.
- Drive succession planning, capability building and Learning & Development plans to build a fully competent and engaged operations team.
- Monitor productivity, accuracy, defect rates and turnaround standards, taking corrective actions to meet departmental KPIs and SLA commitments with spoke countries.
- Collaborate closely with spoke countries, Group offices and internal stakeholders to resolve issues promptly and maintain strong working relationships.
- Contribute to strategic direction and continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements to processes, end-to-end workflows, quality management and digitisation initiatives.
- Proactively manage operational and reputational risk in line with the team's risk profile, ensuring compliance with all Group policies, procedures and code of conduct.
- Own the Audit and Risk Control Standards for Cash Services operations.
- Ensure approved Product Programs and Country Product Templates are in place before implementation; escalate gaps via KPIs and risk exception reports.
- Proactively monitor and manage operational, system and channel risks; highlight control breakdowns to Group Operations and CORG.
- Partner with UORM to design, implement and monitor control measures and operational risk management plans.
- Maintain timely and accurate risk monitoring updates in ORMA/Optial and drive prompt resolution of identified issues.
- Provide governance oversight across hubs, ensuring compliance with regulatory, AML and internal policy requirements.
- Embed Group values and Code of Conduct within SSC Cash, promoting a strong ethics and compliance culture.
- Demonstrate exemplary conduct and take personal accountability for high ethical, regulatory and business conduct standards.
- Identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters in a timely and collaborative manner.
