Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Financial Restructuring & Corporate Exercises
    • Lead debt restructuring initiatives and manage stakeholder engagement.
    • Oversee Scheme of Arrangement processes, including court, regulatory, and advisory workstreams.
    • Support M&A, acquisitions, and strategic investments aligned with group repositioning.
    • Manage relationships with legal, financial, and restructuring advisors.
  • Capital Management & Funding Strategy
    • Develop and implement capital restructuring strategies (equity, debt, hybrid instruments).
    • Strengthen cash flow management and liquidity planning across the group.
    • Establish funding structures to support new business lines such as supply chain platforms and hospitality assets.
    • Engage with banks, financial institutions, and potential investors locally and regionally.
  • Group Financial Leadership & Governance
    • Oversee finance functions including reporting, treasury, tax, audit, and compliance.
    • Ensure adherence to Bursa Malaysia and statutory requirements.
    • Enhance internal controls, financial discipline, and governance frameworks.
    • Lead board reporting, disclosures, and investor communications.
  • Business Transformation & Expansion Support
    • Partner with business units to evaluate and structure ventures in building materials supply chain and hospitality.
    • Develop financial models, investment frameworks, and return benchmarks (IRR, NPV, ROCE).
    • Implement performance tracking systems for new and existing businesses.
  • Strategic Partner to CEO & Board
    • Provide insights on restructuring, growth, and capital allocation.
    • Drive turnaround initiatives and performance improvement programs.
    • Support long‑term positioning of the group beyond traditional construction.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, ICAEW or equivalent) preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience, including at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role (CFO/Deputy CFO).
  • Proven track record in debt restructuring, corporate turnaround, or Scheme of Arrangement.
  • Strong exposure to public‑listed company environments and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in construction, property, or asset‑heavy industries; exposure to supply chain or hospitality sectors is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated expertise in M&A, fundraising, and capital structuring.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management (banks, investors, regulators, advisors).
  • Resilient, hands‑on leader capable of operating in high‑pressure transformation environments.
