Your Role and Responsibilities


In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of products/systems/services within a designated market/division, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid

This role is contributing to the B&R brand under ABB's Automation business area responsible for Southeast Asia region. Main stakeholders are B&R Industrial Automation.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Communicating to the customers about details related to delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions, in line with ABB's offering and strategy.

  • Ensuring efficient sales activities and communicates value proposition to customers.

  • Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market.

  • Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supports cash collection and project management activities, when needed.

Qualifications for the role

  • You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, with a proven track record in automation projects or technical sales within the industrial sector, and approximately 8+ years of relevant experience.

  • You have strong experience in the machine automation industry, including hands-on exposure to PLC and Servo Motion technologies, and are well-versed in managing end-to-end sales or application engineering activities.

  • You possess solid technical knowledge of industrial automation systems and are highly adept at developing technical solutions, system architectures, and competitive commercial proposals.

  • You are customer-focused and driven by problem-solving, with a consultative and solution-selling mindset, and the ability to engage stakeholders and develop innovative automation solutions aligned with customer needs.

  • You communicate effectively in English, Chinese, and Malay, and hold a valid driver's license and work authorization for Singapore.
