Job Description

Purpose of this role is to work closely with key team members in supporting development of strong channel sales and distribution in line with Castrol Lubricants market strategy. Also, enable performance through the planning and execution of trade activities which align with business strategy

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify local market opportunities and develop channelspecific trade marketing programs that support sales growth, including strategic channel KPIs, execution and progress reporting.
  • Map the trade landscape and segment partners based on potential, loyalty, and category performance to drive targeted engagement.
  • Deliver distribution and new sales channel targets, ensuring all associated sales objectives are met.
  • Key lead for channel strategies, offers, and branded workshop expansion in partnership with Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Ensure timely availability, deployment, and optimization of execution tools and merchandising materials by establishing clear tracking mechanisms.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales to develop robust channel plans aligned with account complexities and ensure smooth rollout in trade.
  • Continuously gather and monitor competitor activities and market insights, translating them into actionable plans.
  • Achieve sales budgets and product profit goals within allocated resources, including delivering targeted market share.
  • Responsible for producing detailed and accurate reports, demonstrating strong analytical capability and a keen interest in working with data and numbers, while ensuring all insights and updates are delivered in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Min university degree or equivalent
  • 5-7 years of experience in trade marketing, fmcg industry preferred
  • Experience in distributor management would be a plus!

This role is for Castrol Lubricants business and is a local package role in Malaysia with at least 25% of domestic travel (within Malaysia).
