Job Scope
Responsible for theoperation, maintenance, and repairof low-voltage (LV) electrical systems (<500VAC to 1,000V AC). To ensure all electrical systems comply with statutory safety requirements under the Energy Commission regulations.
Job Description
- Operate and maintain low voltage electrical installations, switchboards, panels, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in machinery and facilities.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Monitor energy consumption and propose measures to improve energy efficiency.
- Maintain records of maintenance, breakdowns, and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with Energy Commission and DOSH regulations.
- Coordinate with contractors and other technicians during electrical-related projects or outages.
- Respond to electrical emergencies and power failures.
- Report and rectify any unsafe electrical conditions.
- Perform standby duties, including responding to breakdowns after working hours if required.
Requirements
- Chargeman AO Certificate (Competent Person License) issued by the Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission).
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance or facilities management.
- Familiar with low-voltage systems, wiring regulations, and safety standards.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physically fit and willing to work on shifts, weekends, or public holidays when required.
