Chief Engineer, RSR & GSH
- This is a Clustered postion for Shangri-La Rasa Sayang, Penang & Shangri-La Golden Sands, Penang.
As a Chief Engineer, RSR & GSH, we rely on you to
- Responsible for the general administration of the Engineering Dept, including proper maintenance and repair of all buildings, fixtures, fittings and equipment as well as technical improvements, preventive maintenance and utilities consumption control.
- Monitor and maintain all equipment, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning
- Support budget planning and expenditure control for maintenance and engineering projects to optimize resource allocation
- Ensure all facilities comply with local regulations and internal standards by conducting regular audits and implementing corrective actions
- Coordinate and participate in crisis management and emergency response activities to mitigate risks and ensure swift resolution
- Develop and deliver training programs related to emergency procedures to enhance team readiness and compliance
- Apply expertise in Environment Health, Occupational Health and Safety Assessment, and Loss Prevention to uphold workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
We Are Looking For Someone Who
Holder of relevant Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
Good command of English, Malay and Chinese.
Mininum 2 years working experience, preferably in the Hotel Industry.
Has a great Leadership & Interpersonal skills
Knowledge of facility management, fire safety, furniture, fixtures & equipment, able to handle in-house projects.
Self-starter, tactful, goal-oriented and team builder
Is self-driven, goal oriented, challenges the status quo
Upholds professional values, ethics and integrity at all times
Is a motivator, self-starter and a team-builder
Mechanical and Electrical Engineering/Facilities Management background
