Role Description
We are seeking a Chief Engineer to join our team in Kuching on a full-time, on-site basis. The Chief Engineer will oversee the maintenance and repair of all hotel mechanical and electrical systems. This role includes leading the engineering team, managing preventative maintenance schedules, ensuring safety compliance, managing budgets, and handling urgent repairs. The position requires close collaboration with other departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences. ---
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and hotel infrastructure
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Experience in preventative maintenance and safety compliance
- Skilled in budget management and cost control
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Relevant engineering certification or degree
- Ability to work on-site in Kuching
- Previous hospitality industry experience is an advantage
