Description
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the overall finance function of the organization. The CFO will be responsible for financial stewardship, corporate governance, Bursa Malaysia compliance, strategic planning, treasury, investor relations, and supporting the company's growth and operational objectives.
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and oversee the Group's overall financial strategy and performance
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and Board of Directors
- Drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term business strategy
- Support business growth initiatives, investments, and corporate exercises
Financial Management & Reporting
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports in compliance with MFRS and Bursa Malaysia requirements
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes
- Manage Group cash flow, treasury, taxation, and working capital requirements
- Ensure strong financial controls, governance, and risk management practices
Corporate Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Bursa Malaysia listing requirements and statutory regulations
- Lead engagements with external auditors, tax agents, regulators, bankers, and relevant authorities
- Prepare and present Board papers, Audit Committee materials, and financial updates to senior leadership
Investor Relations & Stakeholder Management
- Support investor relations activities and engagements with shareholders, analysts, and financial institutions
- Manage banking relationships, financing arrangements, and capital management activities
- Support fundraising, refinancing, mergers & acquisitions, and other strategic corporate exercises when required
Operational & Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the finance and accounting team across the organization
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization, and digital transformation within the finance function
- Collaborate closely with operational and business leaders to support business performance and profitability
Requirement
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline and with professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) is preferred
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, including senior finance leadership roles with proven experience as CFO, Deputy CFO, Finance Director, or Group Financial Controller within a PLC environment.
- Mandatory experience within a Public Listed Company (PLC) environment
- Strong knowledge of Bursa Malaysia reporting and compliance requirements
- Experience in treasury, corporate finance, audit, taxation, and investor relations
- Exposure to Oil & Gas Services, EPCIC, Energy, Offshore, or Engineering industries is preferred. Big 4 audit background will be an added advantage
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong commercial mindset with ability to support strategic decision-making
- Experience in managing project-based or asset-intensive businesses
- Strong track record in engaging with Boards, shareholders, investors, and senior leadership teams
- Industry exposure in Oil & Gas, EPCIC, Energy, Offshore, or Engineering will be advantageous
