Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Projects & Operations

We are recruiting for two senior Chief Operating Officer (COO) positions for established organisations within the construction and property development industry.

These roles are suitable for highly experienced leaders with strong commercial, operational and project management capabilities.

Opening 1: COO – Construction / High-Rise Projects

The successful candidate will lead and oversee the overall delivery of high-rise construction projects for a main contractor.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall operations and delivery of multiple high-rise construction projects.

• Provide strategic direction and leadership to Project, Construction, Engineering and site teams.

• Ensure projects are delivered according to timeline, budget, quality and safety requirements.

• Oversee project planning, resource allocation, construction progress and risk management.

• Monitor project performance and resolve major operational and project-related issues.

• Work closely with Contract, Commercial, Procurement and Finance teams to ensure project profitability and cost control.

• Manage relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other key stakeholders.

• Drive operational improvements, productivity and overall business performance.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.

• Extensive senior management experience with a main contractor.

• Strong track record managing large-scale high-rise construction projects.

• Proven experience leading multiple project teams and overseeing overall project delivery.

• Strong leadership, commercial and stakeholder management capabilities.

Opening 2: COO – Property Development / Group Operations

The successful candidate will oversee the overall operations of a property development organisation, covering key functions including Projects, Contracts, Sales & Marketing and other business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the overall business and operational performance of the organisation.

• Provide leadership and direction across key departments including Projects, Contracts, Sales & Marketing and Operations.

• Ensure alignment between project delivery, commercial objectives, sales performance and overall business strategy.

• Monitor the performance of ongoing and upcoming property development projects.

• Drive operational efficiency, process improvements and organisational effectiveness.

• Work closely with senior management and department heads on business planning, budgeting and performance targets.

• Oversee major business decisions, operational risks and cross-functional issues.

• Support the company's growth strategy, expansion plans and new business opportunities.

• Build a high-performance leadership team and strengthen collaboration across departments.

Requirements

• Degree in Business, Property, Engineering, Construction or equivalent.

• Extensive senior management experience within the property development industry.

• Proven experience managing multiple business functions and senior leadership teams.

• Strong understanding of property development, project delivery and commercial operations.

• Experience in overseeing functions such as Projects, Contracts, Sales & Marketing and/or Corporate Operations.

• Strong business acumen, leadership and strategic decision-making capabilities.
