Morgan Philips has exclusively partnered with a global leader in the industrial manufacturing space for a landmark search — a Chief Operating Officer being positioned as a key succession appointment into senior business leadership.

This is not a conventional COO role. It is a deliberate investment in the next generation of operational leadership — for a business with deep roots in engineered building solutions and heavy materials manufacturing, and the ambition to scale. The incoming COO will be groomed for broader P&L and general management accountability, with a clear pathway into full business leadership.

The Role

Based in Malaysia. Open to expatriates, with priority given to local talent.

What You Will Own

• End-to-end manufacturing operations across factory, quality, engineering, and logistics — with authority to resolve, restructure, and scale
• Operational strategy with a low-CapEx discipline: smarter systems, not bigger spend
• Full P&L responsibility — cost, margin, budget, and commercial performance
• Global supply chain, procurement, and trade flows — including import/export and supplier relationships
• A team of 200–1,000+ across operations, production, and supply chain — to lead, develop, and build for succession

What We Are Looking For

• 15+ years of progressive operations and manufacturing leadership, ideally with exposure to steel or metal processing, heavy industrials, construction-related materials, or capital-intensive production environments
• A track record of running large-scale factory operations with full P&L ownership
• Commercial instinct paired with data-driven discipline — someone who reads a P&L the way others read a blueprint
• Readiness to step into broader general management responsibility over time
