About Our Client


We are conducting a confidential search for an accomplished Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and optimise the operational strategy and execution for a leading property development company in Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive experience across the entire development cycle, ensuring projects are delivered with excellence, efficiency, and compliance.

Job Description

  • End-to-End Oversight: Manage all stages of property development from land acquisition, planning, and design to construction, handover, and post-completion management.
  • Operational Leadership: Drive operational strategies that enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across multiple projects.
  • Project Delivery: Ensure timely and successful completion of projects within budget and in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, government authorities, contractors, and investors.
  • Risk & Compliance Management: Ensure strict adherence to legal, regulatory, and environmental requirements throughout the development process.
  • Team Development: Lead and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve organisational objectives and deliver exceptional results.
  • Strategic Contribution: Collaborate with the CEO and Board to shape long-term growth strategies and expansion plans.

The Successful Applicant


A Successful COO Should Have

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing the complete property development life-cycle, encompassing all stages from land acquisition through to project handover and ongoing operational management.
  • Minimum 12 years of senior leadership experience in property development or real estate.
  • In-depth knowledge of Malaysia's property market, regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to ensure timely delivery of complex projects within budget and quality standards.
