Job Description, Key Tasks and Measurements
- Sound understanding of the law, legal practice and the technical aspects of a liability insurance policy is a must.
- In accordance with internal processes and guidelines to promptly manage notifications and attending to all queries in a polite and timely manner, ensuring guidance is sought where necessary.
- Manage all aspects of the assigned files from the point of notification until conclusion, including having courteous and difficult discussions with stakeholders, and insureds.
- Assess policy coverage and analyse all relevant information including legal opinions, documents and cause papers, specifically to prepare reports to insurers. And to identify any unusual claims or fraudulent practices to be highlighted to relevant stakeholders.
- Input all data in a specific claims portal and maintain electronic filing for the whole claims process.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and industry standards; and promptly report to management all issues arising.
- Ensure accuracy in all documentation prior to issuance.
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry and financials into the claims portal.
Qualification and Experience
- Law Degree holders with full qualifications; legal practice experience is an advantage.
- At least 3 -5 years of experience in legal practice and/or managing liability claims in the insurance industry.

- Possess strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Must maintain high degree of confidentiality and integrity.
- Excellent English written & verbal. Report writing skills is an advantage.
- Good team player.
- Good computer skills, including using Excel.
