My client is a leading provider of financial protection and risk management services, specializing in the life and health insurance sectors. With a global presence, it delivers customized solutions to cater to a wide range of client requirement. They are currently seeking an experienced Life & Health Claims Director to lead their dynamic team.
Job responsibilities:
- Develop and implement claims strategy aligned with SEA business goals. Harmonize local practices with regional/global standards while addressing market-specific requirements
- Manage end-to-end claims processing for life and health treaties and facultative business. Ensure prompt, accurate handling and settlement of claims, including complex/high-value cases
- Maintain compliance with regulations across SEA markets. Uphold robust internal controls and audit preparedness. Track regulatory developments and update processes as needed
- Serve as main claims point of contact for cedents and internal partners. Lead sensitive claim negotiations, deliver technical advice, and strengthen relationships
- Lead and develop a skilled life and health claims team. Promote a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on technical expertise
Job requirements:
- 10+ years in Life & Health insurance/reinsurance claims handling, including at least 3 years in leadership
- Familiarity with Southeast Asia regulatory frameworks and cross-border operations
- Proven track record managing complex claims and client negotiations. Deep knowledge of mortality, morbidity, medical, and disability products
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities. Strategic thinking, decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Multi-market experience navigating diverse regulations and cultures. Digital/data-driven approach with knowledge of claims automation, predictive analytics, and fraud detection tools.
