About The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated
Claims Manager to join our team at RHB Bank. In this role, you will oversee claims across designated portfolios, ensuring each case is handled fairly, accurately, and in line with company, BNM, and PIAM guidelines. You'll manage complex claims, guide the team, and maintain strong oversight of adjusters and reinsurance requirements.
What You Will Be Doing
- Verify, assess, and approve claims within your authority, and prepare recommendations for cases that exceed your limit.
- Ensure adjuster appointments are made promptly and within the required timeframe.
- Monitor all cases handled by adjusters, review monthly bordereaux, and arrange discussions for complex matters when needed.
- Attend monthly bordereaux meetings with the panel of adjusters.
- Review adjuster performance regularly and report findings to the Unit Head and Head, BA/FA.
- Provide technical guidance to subordinates, branches, and customers on claims-related matters.
- Escalate complaints from customers, branches, BNM, PIAM, OFS, and intermediaries for timely resolution.
- Highlight claims with suspected fraud or policy breaches to the Section Head, or in their absence, to the Head, BA/FA or CEO.
- Conduct yearly reviews of all claim files.
- Ensure all required notifications and advices to MNRB and treaty reinsurers (XOL/Surplus) comply with reinsurance agreements.
- Work toward achieving higher monthly closure rates.
- Actively pursue recoveries.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the Company.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Professional insurance qualifications are an added advantage.
- At least 5 years of claims experience across various insurance classes.
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.
