Job Description
We are looking for a highly capable Cleanroom Operator to join our business's production division. You will be assembling product components, documenting production information, and performing routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and/or repair product assemblies and components by following work orders, engineering drawings, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and verbal instructions.
- Perform manufacturing processes such as bending, tacking, welding, tweaking, leak testing, and component assembly in accordance with approved specifications.
- Operate production equipment, test fixtures, electronic measuring instruments, and leak detection equipment safely and effectively.
- Verify incoming parts and materials to ensure completeness and inspect for defects before assembly.
- Record production data accurately and complete all required manufacturing documentation.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment and workstations to maintain cleanroom compliance.
- Adhere strictly to cleanroom protocols, including proper gowning procedures, contamination control practices, and material handling requirements.
- Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements by using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, 5S activities, and other production-related assignments as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum SPM qualification or Certificate/Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Welding certification or technical certification in an engineering-related discipline is an added advantage.
- Previous experience in a cleanroom or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Basic knowledge of welding, assembly processes, and the use of measuring instruments is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail to identify product defects and maintain high-quality standards.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic production issues.
- Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods while working in a cleanroom environment.
- Comfortable wearing cleanroom garments, gloves, face mask, safety glasses, and other required PPE throughout the shift.
- Good time management skills with the ability to achieve daily production targets.
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, overtime, weekends, and public holidays when required.
