This is a regulated role under the Central Bank of Ireland's Fitness and Probity regime.

What You'll Be DOING

This role carries senior representation on the Singapore Leadership team. You will work closely with key regional stakeholders to define and drive a Singapore strategy across the business to better leverage our regional assets. Your focus will be on enhancing client engagement, broker management, and to own, coordinate and manage the go to market strategies for AXA XL in Singapore.

What will your essential responsibilities include

  • Financial Performance - Drive premium growth by Collaborating with AXA XL's underwriters to ensure retention ratios, premium growth and profitability are all at targeted levels.
  • Broker management Complete oversight of the Broker relationships. Report back to the Singapore leadership team on quarterly performance and CDO. Lead a consistent broker management approach, increasing submission flow, scale and efficiency. Set/Promote best practice sharing toward Pipeline management, targeting, cross selling, portfolio solutions and alternative distribution. Responsible for the regional governance and monitoring of local Broker Agreements
  • Client Management Responsible for client experience, from acquiring, renewals, claims and servicing. Provide a one stop shop framework for our key customers. Collaborate closely with underwriters and other stakeholders to determine new target accounts and pursuing or developing relationships with brokers and prospective clients to position for opportunities on their business. Identify and support the capture of growth opportunities in close collaboration with all of AXA XL's businesses in assigned territory. Coordinate and drive the targeting process.
  • Coordinate and strengthen the One AXA engagement with the AXA Entities operating in country for a coordinated and extended customer journey, leveraging cross-sell opportunities. Play a prominent role in developing AXA Group's ESG / CSR agenda
  • Conduct competitive watch, identify and leverage AXA XL competitive advantage and identify additional distribution opportunities, and assist the introduction of new products to market
  • Expand company footprint into new segments / geographies through Asia and leverage strategic agreements
  • Engage and coordinate with the Regional Communications & Marketing team for events and market communications

You will report to the Country Manager, Singapore with a secondary reporting line to the Chief Distribution Officer Asia Pacific & Europe.

What You Will BRING

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

  • Proven entrepreneur: Track record in managing business, driving growth in key markets with extensive marketing and sales skills, including presentation, relationship development and negotiation skills
  • Client centric focus and demonstrated business / functional experience with international brokers across the commercial landscape, including large multi-national companies. Experienced in global program business including Captives, with good knowledge of all the Groups products, Execute Cross and Up sell strategies. Senior level relationships with the major broking houses essential
  • Relevant knowledge base: Extensive knowledge and expertise in the global insurance market with underwriting management, insurance operations experience or equivalent
  • Solid knowledge in one or more lines of business, detailed working knowledge and appreciation of supporting functions including Finance, Tax, Legal, Actuarial, Facility and HR
  • Sound understanding and use of financial planning, analysis and reporting approaches as well as familiar with local market, distribution channels and competitors
