Role Description: The Dispenser is a full-time, on-site role based at Penang Retirement Resort in Penang, Malaysia. We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Dispenser to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will ensure the safe, accurate, and timely preparation and dispensing of medications, supplements, and wellness products to our residents and clients. You will work closely with our nursing and rehabilitation staff to support our community's overall cognitive and physical wellness programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurate Dispensing: Prepare and distribute medications and healthcare products accurately according to prescriptions and facility standard operating procedures.
• Client Communication: Clearly explain dosages, schedules, and usage instructions to residents, rehabilitation clients, and their families, ensuring they feel comfortable and fully informed.
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, track expiration dates, and manage the ordering of pharmaceutical and wellness supplies to prevent shortages.
• Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous, up-to-date digital and physical records of all dispensed items and patient profiles in compliance with local healthcare regulations.
• Team Collaboration: Coordinate with nurses, therapists, and management to integrate dispensing schedules seamlessly with daily care routines and training sessions.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure the dispensary area remains clean, highly organized, and strictly compliant with all health and safety standards.

Qualifications

Education: Diploma or Certificate in Pharmacy, Nursing, Healthcare Assistance, or a related medical field.

Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience working in a clinic, hospital, retail pharmacy, or senior living facility.

Skills:

• Exceptional attention to detail to ensure absolute accuracy in medication management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when interacting with seniors and clients undergoing rehabilitation.
• Proficiency with basic clinic or inventory management software.
