Job Description
· To undertake psychological assessments of clients applying psychological, including
· neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured
· observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client's care under the supervision of the Head or Senior Psychologist.
· To assist in the formulation and delivery of care plans involving the psychological treatment and/or management of a client's problems.
· Working alongside other staff in planning how best to help a child and the child's family, for example in schools, at home, and other intervention centres.
· To undertake therapeutic work with children and young people under the supervision of the Head or Senior Psychologist
· To maintain, record and update all clinical, consultation and supervision sessions appropriately and to the highest standard.
· Writes evaluations, progress notes/reports, and maintains patient files.
Job Requirements
• Masters in Clinical Psychology and Registered with MHAPC. Added advantage for those who are registered with MSCP.
• At least 1 years working experience or fresh graduates
• Knowledge of psychological assessment and behavioural analysis
• Good research skills
• Ability to relate to and empathise with a range of people
• Able to take instruction and direction and work effectively as part of a team.
• Excellent organisational skills, ability to manage own time and plan timed activities for staff and clients
• High standards of verbal and written communication skills in Malay and English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Sensitive listening and questioning skills
• Open minded, treats colleagues, patients, carers and relatives with dignity and respect.
