Overview: The Cloud Architect is responsible for defining the cloud platform strategy, designing scalable and secure architectures, establishing governance frameworks, evaluating and selecting cloud service providers, driving enterprise-wide cloud adoption, and leading the Cloud Center of Excellence to promote best practices and innovation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Strategic Alignment & Collaboration: Partner with fellow architects and senior leaders to ensure the cloud strategy is efficiently executed and aligned with organizational goals.
- Cloud Adoption & Enablement: Act as a catalyst for cloud adoption by coaching and influencing internal and vendor engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable cloud solutions.
- Application Modernization Guidance: Provide expert guidance on application transformation strategies, including rehosting, refactoring, rearchitecting, rebuilding, and replacing.
- Technology Research & Roadmapping: Continuously research emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain an up-to-date enterprise cloud roadmap that supports innovation and agility.
- Cloud Migration & Operational Optimization: Lead the execution of cloud migration initiatives and optimize the operating model for cloud operations, ensuring robust architecture, security, automation, and operational excellence.
- Enterprise Architecture Standards: Define and enforce enterprise-level cloud architecture standards, roadmaps, and policies that are agile, cost-effective, and aligned with business needs.
- Security & Compliance: Collaborate with the Technology Risk function to ensure cloud security compliance with internal policies and technology standards.
- Infrastructure Integration: Ensure seamless integration of cloud infrastructure with existing environments and operational models.
- Vendor & Partner Engagement: Work closely with suppliers and partners to design and deliver effective cloud architecture solutions.
- Cloud Transformation Leadership: Drive cloud transformation across the organization by engaging with key stakeholders including corporate groups, cloud service providers, local entities, and regulators.
- Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE): Establish and operationalize the CCoE to define policies, standards, and best practices, serving as the central point of contact for cloud initiatives.
- Executive Vision & Governance: Translate executive cloud vision into actionable strategies, overseeing adoption and governance to ensure successful implementation.
- Multi-Stakeholder Management: Navigate complex organizational and regulatory landscapes while managing diverse stakeholder goals and requirements.
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in large-scale enterprise networking.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in enterprise network environments across multiple platforms.
Certifications
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE are a strong advantage.
Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling, routing protocols, and TCP/IP technologies.
- Proficient in enterprise network monitoring and traffic analysis tools.
- Solid understanding of OSI Layers 13 (Transport, Data, and IP).
- Skilled in analyzing and optimizing cloud network performance and capacity.
- Deep expertise in Azure networking (e.g., NSG, Application Gateway, Load Balancer).
- Familiar with cloud service models: IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- Experience with Cisco, Check Point, and Palo Alto network security platforms.
- Advanced packet/protocol analysis across all OSI layers.
- Strong grasp of network services and protocols such as TCP/IP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
- Hands-on experience with LAN, firewalls, load balancers, and routers.
Cloud & DevOps Knowledge
- Demonstrated experience in implementing, migrating, and managing systems in enterprise cloud environments.
- Deep understanding of hybrid cloud networking and Azure cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools such as Ansible, Python, and OpsWorks is a plus.
Soft Skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
