Cloud Devops Engineer

Responsibilities:

Seeking DevOps Engineer to support and manage Maybank's Cloud Infrastructure from end to end. You will also require to look into design and architecture of applications deployed in Maybank's Cloud Infrastructure

 These are the main responsibilities

·      Provide end to end support for Maybank's Cloud Infrastructure including managing and ensuring system uptime

·      Develop scripts, APIs or automation tools for monitoring and automation of tasks. Eg. Develop script for health checks of applications, self-healing of applications, event based triggers or alerts, automated disaster recovery workflow for applications, CI/CD automation, etc.

·      Provide standby operational support to members in operational shift (24x7 shift) in terms of troubleshooting or technical guidance

·      Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issue, log case to vendors and follow up for closure

·      The candidate must be able to work as a member of the support team in providing timely and efficient support to assigned operations

·      Collaborate in assessing current and expected application needs, configuration, maintenance, optimization and documentation

·      Follow and apply configuration and security standards and policies within a defined Change Management process for application releases, migrations or upgrades

·      Develop custom integrations or configure readymade connector between platforms – Eg. Kafka Connect Sink/Source integrations to ElasticSearch, Kafka Source/Sink with IBM MQ, etc

Requirements:

·      Desire or willingness to learn new technologies

·      Proficiency in any of the programming language – Python, C/C++, Javascript, Go, TypeScript, Java, Rust, Shell script or any other  

·      Knowledge in Red Hat Openshift Container Platform, Kubernetes or container technology

·      Knowledge or experience in Unix operating systems, configurations, maintenance, and upgrade

·      Knowledge in any of the following DevOps tools such as GitHub Action, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Apache Kafka, etc.

·      Knowledge in Cloud Architecture & Technology (AWS, GCP, Azure)

·      Knowledge in any of web development framework for API development is a plus

·      Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills and problem identification

·      Able to work extended hours during crisis or on needs basis

·      Knowledge or hands on experience in developing CI/CD toolchain is a plus

·      Hands on experience in application development is a plus

·      Knowledge in Observability Platform is a plus
