Position Tittle: Cloud Migration Engineer

Summary:

Join a global technology and cloud team supporting enterprise customers through their cloud transformation journey.

As a Cloud Migration Engineer, you will be involved in designing and delivering cloud migration solutions across compute, Kubernetes, storage, databases, and cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with customers and cross-functional technical teams throughout the migration lifecycle—from Proof of Concept (PoC) and implementation to cutover and production delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in designing and implementing cloud migration solutions covering: Compute: Virtual Machines (VMs), Kubernetes, Storage: Object Storage, File Storage, Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL and Cloud Infrastructure: Landing Zone and related architecture
• Work closely with customer migration teams to understand requirements and provide technical guidance and migration support.
• Participate in the end-to-end cloud migration lifecycle, including: Proof of Concept (PoC), Migration planning and preparation, Implementation, Testing and validation, Cutover and post-migration support
• Troubleshoot technical issues during migration and coordinate with relevant cloud engineering teams when escalation is required.
• Respond to customer technical inquiries and communicate feedback to internal cloud technology teams.
• Support project delivery according to agreed scope, quality standards, and timelines.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, migration plans, implementation guides, and project reports.
• Contribute to improving migration processes, technical solutions, and customer delivery experience.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (with more than 6 months of cloud migration delivery experience preferred).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with teams to complete assigned delivery tasks.
• Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform (AWS/GCP/Azure) including their core products and solutions.
• Working knowledge of AWS/GCP/Azure products, such as MySQL/PostgreSQL databases, Object storage (S3/Blob/GCS), Kubernetes, Kafka, etc.
• Cloud migration experience: *Basic: single-cloud support, *Plus: migrating self-developed systems to cloud, *Plus: multi-cloud or cross-cloud architecture experience
• Understanding of cloud migration tools, such as AWS DMS/DTS/DataSync, GCP DMS/Transfer Service, Azure DMS.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python/Go/Java).
• Strong English documentation skills to independently complete project migration documentation.
• Fluent English and Chinese (Mandarin) languages for effective customer interactions (Native and bilingual).
