We are looking for a hands-on Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to drive the design, deployment, migration, and operational management of enterprise cloud and private cloud infrastructure solutions. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional with proven experience in AWS VPC, on-premise to cloud migration, OpenStack, virtualization, and hybrid cloud environments, who thrives in delivering end-to-end infrastructure implementation and transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and implement secure, scalable, and highly available AWS Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) and hybrid cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Lead end-to-end enterprise workload migration projects from on-premises environments to cloud-based VPC infrastructure with minimal downtime.
- Perform hands-on deployment, integration, configuration, and optimization of cloud and private cloud environments including OpenStack platforms.
- Manage and administer virtualization technologies such as NFV/VNF frameworks, KVM, Hyper-V, and other hypervisors.
- Develop cloud infrastructure architecture, network topology, and integration design aligned with enterprise requirements.
- Execute migration planning, assessment, troubleshooting, validation, and post-migration support activities.
- Provide SME-level technical expertise for cloud infrastructure, migration frameworks, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational procedures to ensure infrastructure availability, performance, and stability.
- Handle Tier 3 escalation, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and operational support for complex infrastructure incidents.
- Design and implement backup, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity solutions for cloud and hybrid environments.
- Ensure infrastructure security, compliance, and operational best practices across cloud and private cloud platforms.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation including HLD/LLD, implementation plans, SOPs, runbooks, and migration reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to deliver successful cloud infrastructure and migration projects.
- Support operational lifecycle management including patching, upgrades, capacity planning, and infrastructure optimization.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Proven experience designing, building, and migrating workloads into AWS VPC environments.
- Strong experience in enterprise cloud migration projects, specifically on-premise to cloud migrations.
- Hands-on expertise in OpenStack and private cloud infrastructure deployment and management.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with virtualization technologies including NFV/VNF, KVM, Hyper-V, and related hypervisors.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts including VPCs, subnets, routing, VPNs, firewalls, gateways, and load balancers.
- Strong Linux and Windows Server administration experience.
- Experience in infrastructure deployment, integration, automation, and cloud operations support.
- Hands-on experience with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities with ability to handle Tier 3 escalations.
- Experience working in system integrator, managed services, or infrastructure-heavy enterprise environments.
- Ability to work independently as an SME-level Individual Contributor with strong execution capabilities.
- Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Certifications such as AWS, OpenStack, or other cloud certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other automation/configuration tools is an added advantage.
- Candidates must be highly hands-on with implementation and operational delivery experience.
- Candidates with only solution architecture or public cloud exposure without migration and infrastructure experience will not be suitable for this role
