Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end Atlassian Jira Data Center to Cloud migration projects, including thorough pre-migration planning, seamless execution, and comprehensive post-migration validation for Jira Software.
- Serve as the Jira Cloud Administrator, managing and configuring Atlassian Cloud environments with hands-on experience (since 2024 or earlier)
- Analyze, design, and execute the migration of Jira projects, workflows, custom fields, permissions, and schemes, ensuring continuity and full system functionality post-migration
- Administer and configure popular Jira add-ons/plugins such as ScriptRunner, JSU, JWT; oversee plugin development, configuration, troubleshooting, and custom script creation.
- Design, develop, and integrate secure and efficient custom REST APIs for Jira, adhering to industry best practices for data interchange and system integration.
- Automate administrative tasks and system integration activities using scripting languages such as Python or equivalent.
- Develop and enhance Jira UI components or extensions using Forge, React, Angular, or other JavaScript frameworks to extend native capabilities.
- Perform advanced SQL queries and manage data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from MS SQL Server databases for reporting and integration purposes.
Skill Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in IT, with proven expertise in Atlassian Jira Data Center to Cloud migration projects.
- Hands-on experience with Jira Cloud migrations using JCMA and Jira REST API scripting.
- Strong proficiency in administering and configuring Jira Cloud environments (demonstrated experience since at least 2024).
- In-depth knowledge of Jira add-ons/plugins (ScriptRunner, JSU, JWT), including plugin development and support.
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and integrate REST APIs within Jira.
- Advanced scripting skills in Python or equivalent languages for automation and system integration.
- Proficiency in developing with JavaScript frameworks (Forge, React, Angular, or similar) for UI/UX enhancements.
- Advanced SQL skills, with experience in MS SQL Server database queries and ETL processes.
- Willingness to work in shifting schedules and on weekends as required
- Willing to relocate in Malaysia
