Join Maxis as a Cloud & Security Intern and gain hands-on exposure to cybersecurity products, security operations, market intelligence, and strategic innovation initiatives. In this role, you will support the development of security offerings, analyse cybersecurity trends, and contribute to projects that strengthen Maxis security portfolio and go-to-market strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Cybersecurity Market & Competitor Intelligence: Track cybersecurity market trends, competitor activities, and vendor developments across areas such as MSSP, SOC, AI Security, Cloud Security, and SASE. Prepare market insight summaries and competitor comparisons to support strategic decision-making.
- Product & Go-to-Market (GTM) Support: Assist in developing cybersecurity product positioning, service bundles, and go-to-market materials. Support proposal preparation, sales enablement activities, and customer presentations while researching customer use cases across industries.
- SOC & Security Operations Exposure: Support the documentation of Security Operations Centre (SOC) processes and workflows. Assist with reporting, KPI tracking, and incident trend analysis while gaining exposure to SIEM, MDR, and operational security models.
- M&A & Partnership Research: Conduct research on cybersecurity companies, MSSPs, and potential acquisition or partnership opportunities. Assist with market mapping, capability assessments, and ecosystem analysis.
- Portfolio Governance & Innovation Projects: Support roadmap tracking, portfolio reporting, and innovation initiatives related to AI, cloud security, and emerging technologies. Coordinate updates and insights across internal stakeholders.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications
- Education: Currently pursuing or holding a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or related disciplines.
- Cybersecurity & Cloud Fundamentals: Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, SOC operations, networking, cloud security, and modern security technologies.
- Research & Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs with strong attention to detail.
- Communication & Presentation Skills: Strong written communication and presentation abilities, particularly in preparing reports, summaries, and PowerPoint presentations.
- Product & Commercial Thinking: Interest in understanding customer value propositions, product positioning, and business strategy.
- Organisation & Problem-Solving: Structured, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
