Cloud Solutions Operations Engineer Malaysia (remote working)

The impact you'll make:

Provide cloud platform and production support for Ingenico's payment platforms and devices, ensuring stability, compliance, and operational excellence across multiple global regions. You will play a critical role in managing high priority incidents, maintaining system reliability, and supporting the continuous improvement of cloud operations.

What you will do:

  • Optimize and maintain Ingenico's SaaS platforms to improve performance, reliability, and availability
  • Provide production and cloud support globally, managing incidents and escalations across APAC, EMEA, and NAR
  • Troubleshoot issues using dashboards and logs to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Deploy and manage infrastructure and application updates via CI/CD tools including GitLab, Terraform, and ArgoCD
  • Ensure security and compliance (PCI DSS, AWS WAF, firewalls) through monitoring, backups, and continuity planning
  • Partner with global teams across Incident, Change, Release, and R&D in a follow-the-sun support model
  • Lead incident, problem, release, and change processes, maintaining documentation, RCA, and ticket updates
  • Drive operational improvements, mentor team members, and support on-call rotations including after-hours deployments as part of the global support schedule

What helps you succeed:

  • Strong cloud and IaC expertise in AWS (primary), with exposure to GCP, Terraform, EKS, ECR, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and ArgoCD
  • ITIL certification required; AWS certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Python and Shell/Bash scripting
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog and Grafana
  • Knowledge of security and networking including PCI DSS, SSL/TLS, TCP, AWS WAF, and network firewalls
  • Familiarity with databases such as RDS and PostgreSQL (nice-to-have)
  • Previous experience in production or cloud operations, including production stability, RCA, and change impact analysis; payments, fintech, or banking background preferred
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently under pressure in a global support model and take a proactive, customer-focused approach

How you'll work remotely

This role can be based anywhere in Malaysia, you must have the right to work in Malaysia. You're comfortable taking ownership, managing priorities independently, and staying accountable in a remote first environment. Detail focused and analytical, you balance accuracy with commercial awareness and communicate clearly to keep work moving across teams and partners. There are regular team get togethers and meetings in Kuala Lumpur.
