The Cloud Systems Engineer will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing cloud-based
systems while providing L2/L3 technical support for enterprise cloud services. The ideal candidate will
have hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, scripting, and troubleshooting, ensuring high availability
and performance for customers.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure & Support:
- Provide back-end cloud support for customer-facing teams, ensuring SLA compliance
- Monitor cloud services (AWS/Azure) for performance, security, and cost optimization
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated cloud infrastructure issues (VM, networking, storage, DB)
- Analyze and troubleshoot customer file issues (XML, JSON formats) when required for investigations
- Maintain internal knowledge base (Confluence, KB articles) for incident resolution
Automation & Optimization
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for cloud operations
- Knowledge in CI/CD pipeline improvements (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform - This is a plus)
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures in cloud resource usage
Collaboration & Compliance
- Work with DevOps, Security, and IT teams to ensure Cloud best practices
- Document processes and ensure compliance with IT security policies (ISO 27001, SOC 2)
- Participate in on-call rotation with on-call allowances
Using AI-enabled Tools
- (e.g., chatbots, document automation, analytics assistants) to improve efficiency, accuracy, and streamline routine tasks while following company AI governance and data privacy standards
Must-Have
Required Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in cloud support, systems engineering, or DevOps
- Hands-on with AWS/Azure (Certification is a big plus)
- Proficient in scripting (PowerShell/Python/Bash) for automation
- Ability to analyze and understand customer file formats (XML, JSON) for troubleshooting purposes
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Windows servers, networking (TCP/IP, VPN, Firewalls)
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Strong analytical& problem-solving skills
- Skills in prompting AI systems and assessing output quality
- Ability to leverage AI to ideate, develop, and scale to the needs of their department
Nice-to-Have
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
