COBOL Developer

Job Requirement

• Strong experience in structured and modular COBOL programming
• Proficient in writing and debugging JCL batch jobs
• Experience with online transaction processing using CICS
• Source code version control and promotion using Endevor
• Experience with card processing systems or payments lifecycle
• Mainframe file systems and database interaction
• Handling incidents and providing L2/L3 support
• Familiar with SDLC and delivery methodologies
• Strong verbal and written communication for business interaction

Job Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain COBOL programs in a mainframe environment
• Develop batch and online applications using COBOL, JCL, and CICS
• Work with stakeholders and analysts to gather and clarify requirements
• Perform impact analysis, estimations, and implement enhancements
• Use Endevor for source code version control and promotion
• Ensure adherence to coding standards and SDLC processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues effectively
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
• Create and maintain technical documentation
