Job Description:
- Develop and test new features
- Participate in constructive design discussions to deliver maintainable and practical solutions
- Make recommendations on how to evolve the code base
- Accurately estimate development effort
- Squash bugs
- Participate in peer code reviews
- COBOL Developer Insurance domain experience is a big plus
Responsibilities
- More than 5 years of experience in COBOL programming
- Well verse in using Batch COBOL, CICS COBOL and Microfocus COBOL
- Well verse in using in DB2 data structure and SQL
- Well verse in UNIX and Script developments
- Knowledge in MQ and gateway to front end systems is a plus
- Excellent Problem-solving skills, self-motivated, adaptable, and goal-oriented
- Experience in System Analysis (Involvement in the Functional Specs analysis and must be able to create Detailed specs for code developments)
