With the right commercial and technology contracting support, global logistics organisations can manage complex vendor relationships and operational technology needs efficiently. This opportunity is with an international logistics company seeking a junior Commercial Contracts Counsel to support day-to-day contracting matters.

You will work closely with senior counsel supporting the organisation's global freight forwarding operations, assisting with vendor agreements and technology-related contracts. This role is ideal for a junior commercial lawyer with strong drafting capabilities who enjoys hands-on contract work in a collaborative in-house environment.

How will you make an impact in this role

Your role will include the following:

Commercial Contract Drafting. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including service agreements and vendor contracts.

Vendor Agreement Support. Provide legal support on vendor agreements supporting the organisation's global freight forwarding team, which will make up the majority of the work.

Technology & IT Contracting. Assist with IT-related agreements and technology procurement matters under the guidance of senior counsel.

Negotiation Support. Participate in contract negotiations and provide support on related matters, including claims and large projects where required.

Cybersecurity & Data Considerations. Assist with reviewing contractual provisions relating to cybersecurity and technology risk, with potential exposure to data privacy issues.

Cross-Team Collaboration. Work closely with business stakeholders and internal teams to support contracting needs across operational functions.

Minimum Qualifications

1-3 PQE lawyer

Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts, particularly service agreements and vendor contracts.

Strong drafting and contract review skills.

Ability to manage contract discussions and negotiations with stakeholders.

Comfortable working closely with senior counsel while managing day-to-day contracting tasks independently.

Mandarin skills are desired but not essential
