The Position
The Commercial Controller partners with MSI Cluster and OPU BU management to provide financial insights, drive performance, and ensure strong financial governance. The role supports planning, forecasting, reporting, and business analysis to enable optimal decision-making and maximize commercial return on investment.
Task and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to lead financial planning activities
- Prepare documentation, commentary, and presentations for commercial business reviews
- Review monthly phasing and S&OP planning
- Monitor KPIs, financial performance, trends, and variances
- Conduct Gross-to-Net analysis and support business cases and market evaluations
- Perform ad-hoc financial and commercial analysis
- Support working capital monitoring (DSO, DOI) and cash-flow initiatives
- Ensure compliance with corporate reporting requirements
- Support alliance management, in-/out licensing, and benchmarking activities
- Provide cost monitoring and deviation analysis
- Support internal/external audits and periodic compliance reviews
- Evaluate effectiveness of pricing structures, programs, and sales force deployment
- Provide local finance inputs for GBS-managed processes
- Prepare period-end reporting and BU/OPU commentaries
About Our Future Employee
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 23 years of experience in financial planning or a similar role; experience in the healthcare industry is preferred
- Professional membership in ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or MIA is a plus
- Strong finance and business acumen with hands on experience in controlling
- Broad finance knowledge, including accounting, tax, treasury, and compliance
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Effective communication and presentation abilities
- Capable of working with cross cultural teams and in high pressure environments
- Highly organized, independent, and committed to continuous improvement
- Able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Proficient in finance systems, tools, and data driven environments
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to explain financial concepts to non experts
- Agile, adaptable, and able to apply 80/20 prioritization for efficiency
- Able to communicate in Bahasa
