Role: Senior Advisor, Commercial
A leading international energy company is seeking a Senior Advisor, Commercial to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur. This is a pivotal role for an experienced professional with a strong background in the upstream oil & gas industry. The ideal candidate will be a skilled negotiator with expertise in Production Sharing Contracts and Joint Operating Agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate commercial negotiations to protect company interests.
- Draft and review key commercial agreements, including PSCs and JOAs.
- Serve as the primary liaison for commercial projects, coordinating with internal departments and external partners and Joint Venture Partners.
- Assess the commercial implications of business decisions and contribute to strategic planning.
- Develop and strengthen key commercial relationships.
- Prepare commercial proposals and scenario analyses.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the upstream oil & gas sector.
- Proven experience in commercial negotiations and economics.
- Expertise with Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs), Joint Operating Agreements (JOAs), and Sales Agreements.
- University degree in Engineering, Finance, or Law.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with the Malaysian upstream oil & gas industry is highly desirable.
