Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and hotel standards
- Ensure mise-en-place is completed prior to service
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
- Assist Sous Chef and Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of food items
- Adhere strictly to hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations and kitchen equipment
- Practice portion control and minimize food wastage
- Assist in stock rotation and inventory checks
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Requirements
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant kitchen experience (International hotel experience preferred)
- Culinary certificate or relevant professional training is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good team player with positive working attitude
- Physically fit and able to work long hours, shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Basic communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage
