We're looking to add a/an
Senior Commodity Analyst Indirect located in Perai, Penang. To lead sourcing strategy, supplier management, and cost optimization across indirect spend categories
What a typical day looks like:
- Support RFQ process, price analysis, and supplier selection for indirect spend categories
- Conduct data analysis on spend, pricing trends, and cost drivers
- Assist in negotiations and contract execution with selected suppliers
- Maintain and monitor supplier performance and delivery compliance
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (operations, engineering, finance) to clarify requirements
- Support cost savings, cost avoidance, and inventory optimization initiatives
- Analyze and report commodity risks, market trends, and sourcing opportunities
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies and processes
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or materials planning
- Experience in data analysis, RFQ handling, and supplier coordination
- Knowledge of indirect procurement or manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong analytical and numerical skills (cost analysis, pricing comparison)
- Proficiency in Excel and procurement/ERP systems
