PCI Private Limited is looking for an experienced Commodity Specialist to join our Supply Base Management department to focus on VA/VE activities and sourcing for Electronic components. This position is a 1 year contract role, and will be placed under an Employment Agency.
Responsibilities:
- To source electronic components to support new projects
- To be able to perform cost analysis and select best supplier to meet the product requirement
- To be responsible in managing the relationship with suppliers on all commercial issues
- To perform cost reduction, VA/VE activities, etc to achieve the KPIs set by the management (eg. the material cost reduction target)
- To be able to implement supply management strategies and activities such as VMI, JIT, EDI capabilities, etc.
- To be the escalation point when there is delivery issues during the MP and NPI stages
- Management of SAP data integrity
The candidate is required to have the relevant experience and following skillsets to deemed suitable:
- At least a Diploma in Engineering
- At least 2 years of working experience in the EMS or an Electronic Manufacturing environment
- Experience in sourcing, purchasing or procuring of Electronic components
- Strong knowledge in electronic commodities (eg. active or passive electronic components)
- Knowledge in SAP is an added advantage
- Familiarity of Microsoft Office is a pre-requisite
