Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in writing and distributing pitch letters, news releases, backgrounders, fact sheets, bios, newsletters, reports, and other communications material.
  • Create, maintain and develop media lists and relationships.
  • Handle routine media inquiries.
  • Monitor media to report coverage.
  • Conduct research for existing clients and new business proposals.
  • Develop an understanding of the client's business and handle basic research of the business and the industry to maintain a current knowledge base.
  • May coordinate specific events and promotions for the client under the guidance of a supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree and/or post-graduate degree in PR / Political Science / Media/Communication or equivalent.
  • Language skills: Fluency in English. Command of another language is considered a plus
  • Knowledge and interest in Communications
  • Computer skills: MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Good communication and writing skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and perform under tight deadlines
