Job Title: Communications Lead
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Duration: 12 months (extendable)
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Communications Lead to drive and manage programme-wide communications for a large-scale IT transformation or migration initiative. This role will ensure clear, consistent, and timely communication across all stakeholders, supporting successful delivery of migration waves, cutovers, and key milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the overall programme communications strategy and communications calendar
- Plan and deliver structured communications aligned with migration waves, cutovers, and key programme milestones
- Draft high-quality communications for executives, stakeholders, and programme-wide audiences (e.g., advisories, updates, town halls)
- Coordinate communications related to cutovers, outages, and service impacts
- Ensure consistency of messaging across different waves, teams, and stakeholder groups
- Collaborate with Project Managers and PMO to prepare executive-ready communication materials
- Support alignment across multiple workstreams, vendors, and business units through effective communication planning
Key Requirements
- 7–10 years of experience in communications, preferably within large IT or transformation programmes
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and audience-appropriate messaging
- Experience working in programmes involving multiple stakeholders, vendors, and concurrent workstreams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create executive-level content
- Excellent stakeholder management and coordination skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., banking, financial services, or infrastructure)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage tight timelines
- Familiarity with programme management environments and tools
