Compliance Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee day-to-day compliance activities across the organization
• Ensure full compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks and internal policies
• Conduct risk assessments and monitor compliance risks
• Provide expert guidance on regulatory compliance and best practices
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure legal and regulatory adherence
• Monitor, track, and report compliance performance and issues
• Stay updated with evolving industry regulations, particularly within financial services
• Support audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance reporting processes

Key Requirements

• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks, especially:
• Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) guidelines
• Anti-Money Laundering / Counter Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT)
• Money Services Business (MSB) regulations
• Proven experience in compliance management, policy development, and regulatory reporting
• Familiarity with risk assessments, customer due diligence (CDD/KYC), and transaction monitoring
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
• Prior experience in the financial services industry is an advantage
