About The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented
Compliance Officer to join our
Asset Management team at RHB Banking Group. In this role, you will ensure that the Business Division complies with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines governing the fund management industry. You will conduct compliance reviews, provide advisory support, and promote a strong compliance culture across the organization to safeguard regulatory integrity and operational excellence.
What You Will Be Doing
- Conduct Compliance Reviews in line with the Annual Work Plan to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and internal guidelines.
- Provide advice, guidance, and practical compliance solutions to business divisions to support effective implementation of compliance objectives.
- Review investment and operational activities, including asset allocation and investment restrictions, and manage breaches via the Violation Manager system.
- Communicate with fund managers for clarification on breaches and incorporate findings into the monthly Compliance Report to the Board of Directors.
- Review regulatory submissions to the Securities Commission (via ComRep XBRL) and other regulatory bodies on a monthly, half-yearly, and annual basis.
- Review and update company policies and procedures to align with regulatory changes and industry developments.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports or papers for the Board of Directors, Investment Committee, and Management Committee, including updates on the Compliance Annual Work Plan and Compliance Risk Assessment.
- Coordinate with relevant business units for regulatory and trustee visits, as well as audits by EPF auditors, statutory bodies, and FIMM.
- Disseminate updates on new or revised laws, guidelines, and regulatory requirements to management and relevant staff.
- Supervise and provide guidance to team members in their assigned reviews.
- Undertake any other assignments as directed by the Head of Compliance, Asset Management.
What We're Looking For
- A recognized degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of fund management regulations, including requirements from the Securities Commission and FIMM.
- Minimum 35 years of experience in compliance, audit, or regulatory roles within the financial services or asset management industry.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
