Job Description

We are seeking individuals who bring strategic leadership and deep electronics knowledge to shape component governance partner with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing to reduce obsolescence and cost while rolling proven processes across the portfolio.

Your tasks

  • Own item master governance across ERP/PDM/DMS define and enforce data standards, classify materials into commodity groups, and maintain audit ready records.
  • Lead standardization across 60 active commodity groups and related working groups; prepare and facilitate biannual Component Category Meetings to review/update rules and reuse strategies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and subject-matter expert for complex material tickets, using AI and automation to prioritize, resolve, and report on cases.
  • Collaborate with Lead Component Engineers, Solution Groups, procurement, quality and R&D to improve component data quality and lifecycle processes.
  • Implement process and system enhancements (automation, data validation scripts, dashboards) to improve data accuracy and system performance.
  • Mentor junior staff and coordinate cross regional/corporate programs related to components and technical procurement strategies.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/mechanical/Materials/Chemical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 5+ years experience in component engineering, material management, PLM/ERP data governance, or supplier quality in electronics/manufacturing environments (EMS/ODM experience preferred).
  • Proven experience with PLM/PDM and ERP systems (SAP, Windchill, Arena, etc.) and managing item master/data governance programs.
  • Advanced data skills (Excel, data validation techniques); familiarity with SQL, scripting or automation/AI tools to drive efficiencies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in English; Bahasa Malaysia a plus. Ready for international travel as required.
