Alex Chow Autonomous Designs (ACAD) is a computational design consultancy dedicated to empowering architects, engineers, and designers through automation, plugin development, and smart workflows.

By helping the industry to think parametric, we give designers more time to be creative by eliminating the tedious and repetitive.

Our expertise includes:

  • Plugin development for Revit, Rhino/Grasshopper, and structural software
  • Grasshopper script development & optimization for workflows and parametric modeling
  • Geometry reconstruction and parameterization
  • Technical drawing automation
  • Workflow efficiency consultation & enhancement
  • Data processing and transformation for design applications

About the Role

We are looking for a Computational Designer to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. This role is ideal for someone from Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science, or 3D Modelling who is excited about digital design tools and parametric workflows.

What youll do:

  • Build parametric models in Rhino/Grasshopper for design and engineering applications
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to translate ideas into computational workflows
  • Explore creative ways to use computation to solve real-world design and engineering challenges
  • (Optional) Contribute to software/plugin development in C# for Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, or structural software

What were looking for:

  • Background in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science, or 3D Modelling (fresh grads welcome)
  • Familiarity with Rhino/Grasshopper (other 3D/engineering software a plus)
  • Strong interest in parametric design and computational workflows
  • Programming knowledge (C#, Python, etc.) is an advantage but not required
